the Delphi Archaeological Museum boasts one of the highest visitor counts of any museum in Greece. Initially established as a repository for artifacts found at the adjacent Sanctuary of Delphi, former site of the preeminent Greek oracle Apollo, the museum now boasts a permanent collection spanning from the Mycenaean Era all the way to Greco-Roman times, and showcases highly-prized works such as the Charioteer of Delphi, the frieze of the Siphnian Treasury, and the Sphinx of Naxos.
