This city in Western Bohemia is an industrial and cultural center. Founded by King Wenceslas II in 1295, it grew because of its position along two different trade routes. It is an architectural gem with magnificent structures such as St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral and City Hall. There are also many museums, including the Brewery Museum, and visitors can even explore underground passageways in the city.
